Tricky's World

A piece of digital art depicting a long red headed woman rushing through the countryside in a brown leather skirt and jacket, her hand held out in front of her and a bright green swirl of light dancing in her palm.

Tricky's world is set a few hundred years from now in a post-apocalyptic world. After a massive shift of the tectonic plates decimated the world and its population, life on the remaining landmass has returned to simple living, with money, rulers and religion no longer tolerated. Those that survived did so in underground bunkers. The majority of which were thereby from rich and wealthy families. Skills have been lost, and as no-one can navigate the sea, now that churns in an unrhythmic way, like a washing machine, there is only the landmass.
Tricky's parents were both had abilities: Her father worked with fire and various chemicals, and her mother with time. Together they ran a school helping others develop their abilities. Her father died during an experiment with fire, and her mother was burnt at the stake by a corrupt network that had been taking hold and filling people's heads with the idea that having gifts is wrong.
Tricky's skill with time manipulation exceeds her mothers, and she is the only person she knows who can communicate with trees. With works with light energy, which resides in the body, and uses it in various forms.
The landmass is managed by a man the people call The Baron, and his family, but there is no hard rulers, each district has its own manager, which has bee slowly inflterated by a group of people wanting to gain power. This is the main thrust of Tricky's Tales.

A map of the Landmass, where Tricky's Tales is set. It looks like a large island set in the sea.
